Article: Fire alarms continue to wake, bother USC residents

(Daily Trojan) (U-WIRE) LOS ANGELES -- At 5 a.m. last Tuesday, Yin Zhen, a University of Southern California freshman majoring in business, was called out of bed by the resonating fire alarm outside her room in North Residential College.

For 45 minutes, she waited outside on the curb until the fire department fully inspected the building for non-existent flames. This was but one of six false fire alarms that have gone off in her dorm this semester.

Anger is only the first word that comes to her mind.
