Fed: Crew survives after cargo ship rams fishing boat

SYDNEY, Nov 10 AAP - The crew of a fishing boat rammed by a mystery merchant ship off
the NSW north coast overnight had just one minute to escape before their vessel sank.

Police said the three men spent about five hours in a life raft in heavy rain before
they were rescued.

Coffs Harbour Water Police Senior Constable Dean Hancock said the boat's 35-year-old
skipper, from Currumbin in Queensland, and two deckhands, a 30-year-old man from Maroochydore,
Queensland, and a 23-year-old man from Nambour, Queensland, were now safe and well.
