Diet study looks at fat conversion

AYR, Scotland, Nov 21, 2001 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- When given a normal diet, obese women convert carbohydrates into fat more quickly than their lean counterparts, researchers reported Wednesday.

However, when given 50 percent more food than their normal intake, there was no difference in the

development of fat, or de novo lipogenesis, between the two groups of women.
