Fed: News closures increase gap between city and the bush

TOWNSVILLE, Qld, Nov 21 AAP - The closure of more local news services will only help
increase the distance between the city and bush.
Regional Australia is already bemoaning the loss of services and is becoming increasingly
angry about city-centric views of Australia.
The demise of news services in Townsville, Cairns, Canberra and central Australia will
reinforce this sense of isolation.
North Queenslanders are already cranky about being left behind and having everything
coming from Brisbane.
And the cuts will have political ramifications.
