China's Health Food Industry Is In a Hard Time

CHINA, Nov 26, 2001 (AsiaPort via COMTEX) -- According to insiders, due to the lack of effective laws and policies as well as the lag of technologies, China's health food industry is now in a difficult period.

Up to now, among China's health food enterprises, the large-scale ones whose investments are over RMB100 million account for 1.45 per cent; medium-scale ones whose investments are RMB50 million to RMB100 million take 38 per cent; small-scale ones whose investments are less than RMB1 million 41.39 per cent and work shop type enterprises whose investments are no more than RMB100 thousand 12.5 per cent.
