This week marks the 100th anniversary of anthropologist Margaret Mead'
s birth, and academics all over the world are commemorating her work.
Here in Washington, some 5,000 anthropologists are meeting at the
annual conference of the American Anthropological Association. They'
re discussing everything from modern slavery to the aftermath of the
September 11th attacks. And they're devoting several sessions to
Margaret Mead. Margaret Mead devoted most of her career to studying
the native people ...
