Soc: Premier League rules out Celtic and Rangers switch
LONDON, Dec 12 Reuters - The English Premier League has ruled out any chance of Scottish
soccer giants Celtic and Rangers joining the competition.
Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore also said on Wednesday that the idea
of a second premier league division, the so-called Phoenix League, had been dismissed
by premier league chairmen.
"There's certainly no chance of them (Celtic and Rangers) coming into the premier league,"
Scudamore told BBC radio after a meeting at the league's London headquarters on Wednesday.
