The Fourth Investment Tide of Chinese Automobile Industry

CHINA, Dec 28, 2001 (AsiaPort via COMTEX) -- The joint venture of Chinese automobile industry has started since 80s of last century. In 1984, In 1984, after six year's difficult negotiation, Beijing Jeep has established with Chrysler the first Chinese automobile joint venture, and then, Shanghai Automobile and Volkswagen founded the first Chinese sedan joint venture in 1985, which is the first investment tide of Chinese automobile joint venture.

The second tide started in the beginning of 90s, FAW-Volkswagen, DCAC and Guangzhou Peugeot were all established in this period.
