LOS ANGELES (AP) _ One of Hollywood's most notorious bachelors, Charlie Sheen, is engaged to actress Denise Richards.

Publicists for both confirmed the engagement, reported Tuesday by Entertainment Tonight, but did not reveal a date. It will be the 36- year-old actor's second marriage and the first for his 29-year-old fiancee.

Sheen, who stars as the deputy mayor of New York on the ABC sitcom "Spin City," has appeared in "Platoon," "Wall Street" and other films. The son of Martin Sheen of NBC's "The West Wing" made his film debut at age 9.
