As most high school football coaches do, Dave Armstrong subscribes to the “one-day-at-a-time” way of thinking, especially when dealing with freshmen and sophomores.
Yet, the rookie head football coach says with great confidence, “if we can get through this year, it’s going to be wonderful. The future will be a breeze.”
And, at least one faculty member predicts greatness for Armstrong’s team — two years down the road. Playing for the state championship, he said.
Greatness remains to be seen, but Armstrong and his players are helping build an athletic foundation as the first to play football at Skyview High ...
