What do you do with 240 pounds of pasta and 25 gallons of sauce? You feed a crowd of thousands.
That’s what chef Douglas Stuchel did at this year’s Pasta Challenge in Providence, R.I.
His Seafood Carbonara was so good, it won the Silver Fork Award, the top prize in the annual competition.
Stuchel is the executive chef of The Bistro at the Radisson Airport Hotel in Warwick, R.I. The Pasta Challenge is sponsored annually by Keep Providence Beautiful, an organization devoted to sprucing up the capital city of Rhode Island.
