The spiritual leader of the world's Orthodox Christians ended a four-
day visit to Iran on Monday, condemning crimes committed in the name
of religion and promoting the interfaith dialogue.
Iranian Culture Minister Ahmad Masjed said a document he signed with
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I calls for continuing dialogue between
Muslim Iran and the Orthodox Church, a comparative study on "Islamic
and Christian mysticism," exchanging scholars and students through
scholarships and holding religious film festivals.
