Jordan's King Abdullah II swore in a new 27-member Cabinet Monday
in a pre-election reshuffle that retained the prime minister while
replacing the ministers of foreign affairs and interior.
The new Cabinet was charged with preparing and overseeing parliamentary
elections later this year, the official Petra news agency reported.
No date for the elections has been set, but they are expected in the
second half of the year.
Forming a new government with the specific mandate of holding elections
