Dateline: INDIANAPOLIS Indianapolis Colts tight end Ken Dilger never imagined 32 receptions would be enough to reach the Pro Bowl.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Colts announced that Dilger will make his first Pro Bowl appearance in his seven-year career.

"I thought my best year was '99, or even last year when I caught 47 balls," said Dilger, who will be the first Colts tight end in the Pro Bowl since Tom Mitchell in 1969. "I thought when I was announced as the second alternate, people must be watching me block for Edgerrin (James) and Dominic (Rhodes)."
