Qld: Dinner proceeds to go to children's research centre
BRISBANE, Jan 23 AAP - A Queensland children's medical research
centre is set to receive
up to $500,000 from a charity dinner with former US president Bill
Clinton.
Queensland Premier Peter Beattie today announced the proceeds from
the March 1 fundraiser
would go to the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation Research Centre.
Tickets to the dinner, to be held at the Sheraton Brisbane, start
at $1,100.
For slightly more, guests can also rub shoulders with the former
leader.
The $110,000 platinum package includes a table of twenty with Mr
Clinton at the table,
19 tickets to the pre-dinner cocktail ...
