WASHINGTON (AP) _ Vowing to fight terrorism and recession with equal
vigor, President Bush planned to declare in tonight's State of the
Union address, "Our war against terror is only beginning." Excerpts
of his address were released in advance by the White House. Creating
jobs will be his top domestic priority, the president said. Amid extraordinary
security, leaders of the congressional, judicial and executive branches
were gathering at Capitol to hear Bush's first State of the Union.
