(Daily Kent Stater) (U-WIRE) KENT, Ohio -- Kent State might be leading
the nation in second-half garbage time at home.
Once again Saturday, the Flashes jumped out to a huge first-half lead,
this time against Toledo, and coasted to an easy win.
A 21-2 run propelled Kent State (16-5, 9-1 Mid-American) to a 27-7
lead with 7:33 left in the half when Trevor Huffman made a high-arching
layup. From then on, the teams played nearly even as Kent State took
a 39-18 lead into half-time.
The game lost most of its intensity in the second half, and the Flashes'
lead teetered around 30 until they pulled out a 79-52 win.
