(Ka Leo O Hawaii) (U-WIRE) HONOLULU -- Under a new policy, Hawaii's 12 state hospitals require minors to have parental consent to get an abortion.

This policy, which took effect on Jan. 14, requires state hospitals to gain consent from a parent or legal guardian before performing an abortion on unmarried girls under the age of 18.
