The U.S. soccer team wasted several chances to score a stunning upset
over Italy.
"I was able to get behind the defense several times. We just lacked
the killer instinct," said midfielder John O' Brien, who came close
to giving the United States a shocking first-half lead in the pre-
World Cup exhibition.
Alessandro Del Piero scored in the second half to give Italy a 1-0
victory Wednesday night.
