TACOMA -- From one of the worst to almost first.
Columbia River, a program that won only one dual meet two years
ago, returned to its proud past and finished third in the Class 3A
state wrestling tournament at Mat Classic XIV in the Tacoma Dome.
Third place isn't a championship, but it had a celebratory feel
to it for Columbia River, which won state team titles in 1969 and
1986.
