(Daily Trojan) (U-WIRE) LOS ANGELES -- About 2,200 copies of University of Southern California's Daily Trojan repeatedly were removed from central distribution points Friday and tossed in nearby trash cans, eliminating more than 25 percent of the newspaper's regular circulation.

A janitor noticed a stack of 300 papers missing from the kiosk in front of Commons early Friday and immediately saw them in the trash can. He removed the stack from the trash and placed it back in the kiosk. The papers then were removed from and replaced in the kiosk at least five additional times throughout the day.
