Golf: Sorenstam and Webb resume battle for global supremacy

LONDON, Feb 26 Reuters - This year's LPGA Tour, which gets underway at the Takefuji Classic in Hawaii on Thursday, is almost certain to be dominated again by Swede Annika Sorenstam and Australia's Karrie Webb.

Sorenstam wrestled the world No.1 ranking from Webb last year in what turned out to be one of the most dramatic seasons in LPGA Tour history.

Webb, however, will be determined to reclaim top spot during 2002 as the LPGA Tour unfolds over 31 events which each offer a record average of $US1.19 million ($A2.32 million) in prize money.
