The Japanese baseball commissioner's office said Wednesday that a
major league all-star tour of Japan in November was being discussed
but hadn't been confirmed.
"The two sides are in talks and we expect the tour to take place,
but nothing has been formally agreed to yet," said Nobuhisa Ito, who
is in charge of international relations at the commissioner's office.
The Japanese commissioner's office said Tuesday that the major league
All-Stars will play an eight-game tour of Japan from Nov. 9-17, according
to Japanese media, but baseball officials in New York said there was
no agreement.
