WA: Anglican Church apologises for child sex abuse

The Anglican church has again apologised to victims of sexual abuse and says it's committed to being open and accountable in dealing with the issue.

The issue of how the Anglican church deals with child sex abuse matters will be a priority for Australia's 42 Anglican bishops at their annual meeting, which began today in Perth.

Anglican Church Primate PETER CARNLEY says it's important for the church to say sorry to victims who've suffered sexual abuse by clergymen or church officers.
