(The Rebel Yell) (U-WIRE) LAS VEGAS -- The Rebel Yell accidentally
titled a March 7 picture of the Tibetan monks painstakingly creating
a mandala sand painting as "Monkeying Around." It was a mistake. The
numerous student and reader complaints we received since and are still
receiving (see the letters to the editor), both oral and written,
deserve a response.
The "monkeying around" title was a working title slated for change
during editing and production. But it slipped through and found its
way on the next day's front page. The title's failed attempt at a
clever pun is obvious. And that was all it was -- a pun -- but one
of bad taste.
