Tuesday, March 19, 2002 -- Although more terrorist attacks have taken place in Jerusalem than any other Israeli city over the past 17 months, the number of residents who moved away in 2001 was virtually unchanged compared to 2000. Nevertheless, more people left the city than moved into it for the fourteenth consecutive year.

Approximately 17,500 residents moved away from Jerusalem last year, compared to 17,100 the previous year, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.
