Great Skua (Catharacta skua) is found in the colder regions near both the north and south pole. The southern populations breed in Anartica, Chile, and even New Zealand. The northern populations nest in Iceland, the Orkney Islands, and other northern places. In winter, members of the northern populations can be seen in Newfoundland and New England.
