Dateline: ROAD TOWN, British Virgin Islands The British Virgin Islands has committed to greater transparency and exchange of information and so will be removed from an international blacklist of tax havens, the OECD announced Wednesday.

The Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development said that the British Caribbean territory agreed to make the improvements by Dec. 31, 2005. Improvements include exchanging more information in both criminal and civil matters and providing tax data on companies here to foreign tax authorities.
