Dateline: ATHENS, Greece Families of Greek civilians executed by the Nazis during World War II on Monday said they hoped a special high court would allow them to sue the German state for reparations.

A special Supreme Court panel will meet on Wednesday to discuss whether Greek courts can hear compensation claims against Germany launched by several groups of relatives from villages where civilians were executed en masse during the war. It will determine whether the relatives have the legal right to sue a foreign government.
