SEATTLE (AP) Starbucks says it will expand its sales through grocery stores, a market the company says is worth $1 billion.
The announcement came Thursday after the Seattle-based coffee roaster and retailer posted a 39 percent gain in its first quarter profit.
Theyre really positioning to be a global brand company
much bigger than a specialty retailer, said Diane Daggatt, retail analyst for Dain Rauscher in Seattle.
