NSW: New research on ocular melanomas
New research suggests young children with light coloured eyes who
are regularly exposed
to the sun run the risk of developing melanoma of the eye in later
life.
Professor BRUCE ARMSTRONG, head of the school of population health
and health services
at the University of Sydney, says Australians are well versed in the
link between sun
exposure and skin cancer.
However, he says it's a less known fact that the sun can also cause
ocular melanoma.
