Prime Minister Hun Sen is not keen to bring Khmer Rouge leaders to
justice because of his old links with the genocidal group, an opposition
leader charged Friday.
"As long as Hun Sen stays in power, there will be no proper Khmer
Rouge tribunal," Sam Rainsy, the leader of the main opposition Sam
Rainsy Party, told reporters on arrival from the United States.
Hun Sen's government rejected the allegation, saying it was committed
to a fair trial.
Sam Rainsy "has freedom to make such comments but the public can understand
and distinguish the truth from the political rhetoric," said Sean
