Serbia's prime minister urged war crimes suspects Sunday to honor
a government deadline and to surrender voluntarily to a U.N. tribunal.
Zoran Djindjic's appeal came on the eve of a deadline for the country'
s top war crimes suspects to surrender to the U.N. war crimes tribunal
based in The Hague, Netherlands. The Yugoslav government promised
the 23 suspect that it would push for their release from detention
pending trial _ if they surrendered Monday.
