TUALATIN, Ore. -- Strange things happened Friday as the Trail Blazers
prepared to leave for Los Angeles.
Ruben Patterson stayed quiet -- by his standards, anyway.
And Rasheed Wallace gave a long sermon to the media -- by his
standards, anyway.
"Everybody's going to play hard, man," he said about this first-
round playoff series against the Lakers that begins on Sunday.
When asked where the Blazers might have an advantage, Wallace
answered: "It's just a big game. Everybody's gotta play hard."
