(State News) (U-WIRE) EAST LANSING, Mich. -- It's difficult to tell whether our culture influences cinema or whether cinema
influences our culture.
Is '70s disco culture -- silver glitter, bad wallpaper and rayon shirts --
sucking the life out of films because it's what the public wants
Or is it a simply yet ambiguous ploy by Hollywood to rehash and slop together
other scripts and scenes, to swindle the public into believing it's paying to
see a "new" film?
"Playing God" forces these questions upon us with its parasitic leeching of
films. Such as in the bloody Tim Roth car scene it blatantly swipes from
Quenten Tarantino's film "Reservoir Dogs" -- ...
