A Hawthorne man serving a 37-year prison term for shooting a
16-year-old boy in a vigilante-style killing, will get a new trial
after
an appellate court threw out his manslaughter and attempted murder
convictions Wednesday.
The ruling, which appears to be the first of its kind in New Jersey,
found that state Superior Court Judge Ronald Sokalski improperly banned
John Cuccio's family from the courtroom during jury selection for
the
