An investor group with a combined 23-per-cent interest in Post Publishing
Plc - the publisher of the Bangkok Post - will demand three seats
on its
board of directors today.
The proposal will be presented to the company's annual shareholders'
meeting today, said Chatchai Yenbamrung, the representative of the
shareholder
group.
He claimed that his group has the support of other shareholder
factions in Post Publishing with the exception of the Chirathivat
family,
which has had management control of the company up to now.
"I don't expect any conflict with management. Our participation will
increase the potential of the Bangkok Post,"
