MILWAUKEE (AP) _ So, how old is Valerio De Los Santos? Everybody seems
to have a different answer.
The Brewers thought he was 26 until recently, when the left-handed
reliever was stuck in his native Dominican Republic from the end of
spring training until about two weeks ago because of problems with
his work visa.
During that time, Dominican Republic officials say, they discovered
he was 29.
De Los Santos insists that's not true.
"I don't care what they say, I know that I am 27," De Los Santos said.
Which is still older than what the Brewers thought. They had his birthday
listed as Oct. 6, 1975, which would make him 26.
