Leisure Industry Develops Fast
CHINA, May 21, 2002 (AsiaPort via COMTEX) -- During the May 1st golden
weekholidays, Chinese people were busy with their leisure plans withtraveling
or entertaining activities.
According to statistics released by China Holiday Office that during
the golden week, there were total 14 million person-timesvisited twenty
major tourism sites in China. Income of pass check only reached RMB
500 millions.
According to anticipation of China Tourism Bureau, in 2020 aggregate
income of tourism would reach RMB 3,300 billions, which would be 8
of GDP. Leisure industry would in deed be a backboneindustry of China'
s national economy.
