HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - In the latest episode of Pennington's Progress,
Jets coach Herman Edwards said his remarks about his No. 2 quarterback
at the end of last month's minicamp were misconstrued.
"Chad knows where I'm coming from. I'm not a negative coach. I'm a
positive guy," Edwards said Tuesday after the first of 12 low-key
practice sessions. "I don't know why he can't be the future quarterback
of the Jets."
Chad Pennington, meanwhile, had spent a few weeks away with wife ...
