Hong Kong Vows to Develop Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry

HONG KONG, May 24, 2002 (AsiaPort via COMTEX) -- The government of Hong Kong Special Administration Region (HKSAR) has drew out a huge ten-year development plan striving to construct Hong Kong as an international traditional Chinese medicine and treatment center.

Having resisted the financial crisis in 1997, the HKSAR declared that the government will stress on the development of high technology and high value-adding industries to lead the region out of difficult point. To construct Hong Kong an international traditional Chinese medicine and treatment center is among the aims.
