Dateline: BOGOTA, Colombia A train carrying coal from the Cerrejon Zona Norte mine, one of the world's largest open-faced coal mines, derailed Thursday after the rail line was bombed, mining company officials said.

There were no injuries in the derailment but a pond near the tracks was fouled when the train spilled its fuel, according to a press release issued by Intercor, the company that operates the mine. The train was returning from the Caribbean coast and was empty at the time of the explosion.
