(Mustang Daily) (U-WIRE) SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- San Luis Obispo
was voted the seventh best place in the nation for businesses and
careers in a recent study published by Forbes magazine.
The study is both good news and bad news, said John Mandeville, director
of Community Development for San Luis Obispo.
"The good news is that, for the city's advanced development, we will
be able to create more household-supporting jobs," Mandeville said.
Interest from outside the area will create a problem though, due to
a lack of housing, Mandeville said. He added that there is currently
a 3 percent vacancy rate in the city.
