Article: U.N. judge orders Rwandan government to stop interfering in genocide tribunal's work

Dateline: ARUSHA, Tanzania A United Nations judge ordered the Rwandan government to cooperate with prosecutors Wednesday, saying that the government's immigration rules have kept witnesses from testifying at the trials of suspects in the 1994 genocide.

Judge William Sekule of Tanzania issued the order after officials at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda informed the court that they have been unable to bring witnesses to testify since June 11 because the Rwandan government now requires tribunal witnesses to follow normal visa procedures, instead of using an expedited method.
