Cyc: Lembo retains yellow jersey as Zabel wins stage

ZURICH, Switzerland, June 20 Reuters - German Erik Zabel secured victory on the second stage of the Tour of Switzerland today as his Team Telekom team mates helped him cross the line in front of the peloton.

Zabel ended the stage less than an inch ahead of Phonak's German rider Sven Teutenberg in a close sprint as Frenchman Eddy Lembo retained the overall leader' s yellow jersey.

Franck Perque (La Francaise des Jeux) made the first attempt at a serious break from the peloton after 24 kilometres as the Frenchman attempted to emulate compatriot Lembo, who claimed the yellow jersey with a surprise stage win on ...
