A federal judge has cleared the way for the trial of an Ivory Coast
citizen who was arrested at Jacksonville International Airport with
a stun gun and flight manuals three days after the Sept. 11 attacks.
U.S. Magistrate Thomas Morris on Friday denied a motion by Jean-Toney
Antoine Oulai's attorneys to suppress statements Oulai made that were
used to charge him with lying about his immigration status.
Oulai, 34, is scheduled for trial July 8.
The judge said officials' questions in the hours following Oulai's
arrest were appropriate and not designed to elicit an incriminating
