A glass of cranberry juice in the morning and again at night can help prevent a majority of urinary-tract infections, even those caused by multi-drug-resistant strains of bacteria, researchers at Rutgers University said last week.

"This is great for people who are constantly getting infected by bacteria that are antibiotic resistant," said Amy B. Howell, lead investigator of the study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
