Processed fruits and vegetables recalled

WASHINGTON, Jun 28, 2002 (United Press International via COMTEX) - - FreshPoint of Denver has recalled 1,883 cases of processed fruits and vegetables because of possible contamination by Listeria monocytogenes.

The recall includes mixed fruit, honeydew chunks, watermelon, veggie kabobs, onion rings, sweet potato, jicima slaw and pickling vegetable mix sold in a variety of sizes to retailers and food service operations under a variety of labels, including Cub, Malcombs and Windmill.

The recalled fruits and vegetables were distributed in the Denver Front Range area, as well as to a military commissary in Cheyenne, Wyo. They had ...
