Dateline: CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands The government of this U.S. Caribbean territory will extradite a man to the neighboring British Virgin Islands to face charges that he beat and robbed an elderly couple, the attorney general said.

Evan Jay Joseph, 25, has been in jail on St. Thomas since June 12, when police arrested him for allegedly slashing a man across the face with a broken bottle in a separate incident, police said.
