JOHN ROBERTS, CBS ANCHOR: Full-time millionaire thrill-seeker and
part-time balloonist Steve Fossett landed in the record books today
while 27,000 feet above the ocean off of Australia. He completed
the first solo circumnavigation of the earth in a balloon.
Mika Brzezinksi went to the flight control center, for the story of
a man on cloud nine.

Steve Fossett set a record today. Never mind he was the only one
trying to obtain it. He flew the nearly 20,000 miles, as high as
35,000 feet, at speeds of up to 200 mph. ...
